And There Will Be Doors
AND THERE WILL BE DOORS leave the kids alone and there will be doors sibling’s pounding fist and a door much too tall you simply can’t resist and a door that falls surely becomes your mattress and a merciful son who doesn’t want to see his sister get into trouble not this way for siblings band together against mother and father so this handy brother heads for the garage to find his tools putting on their monotone faces as the parents return from the store. did you ever think how funny it is the gravitational pull of the earth to the very spot – is it coincidence? dad decides to scare his teenagers bangs his much bigger fist on the wood and once again the door becomes a bed and the look on dad’s face is priceless and of course his son says,”what did you do, dad? and dad being also handy with fix up jobs examines the frame. his eyes extend past the lids huge nails hang onto the empty space realization becomes a door in outer space floating through the mind commiserating with the splintered frame trying to figure out whose to blame i explain emphatically that this will be funny later the retelling gets old that memory door opens and closes 3/23/2017 Doors Contest
