Memories of Mary
Oh how I miss the crunch of those potato chips Seeing you every Sunday reading the comics The day before you died and many more before that You picked me up at the post office Going home with you stopping to take pictures of the sunset Once we would get home I would go with you to the garden You showed me how to plant, and pick tomatoes, squash, and more Taught me how to peel potatoes, swing, and ride a bike Oh how I miss those days of us playing games and reading I remember me sitting in the floor of your room, you on the computer Me watching T.V, I would see an ad and write down the phone number To this day if you look hard enough you could still find a list of numbers Remembering those trips we took, Branson, Alaska, almost New York You always told me we would go to Hawaii, guess God had another plan You are gone now but will always live on in everybody’s heart
