Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I long to discuss with you These things within my heart Joyful moments, melancholy And heartbreak but I don't Nowhere to start So I guess right here is where I'll begin to unpack this bulging heart Let me tell you of sad moments in life To which we can all relate News about a stranger News about a friend News about a loved one Whose life maybe about to end Now I will speak of melancholy Brought on by dismal days of winter And their depressing pensive thoughts I've felt the deep emotional pain That a broken marriage brings The teardrops streaming down my cheeks As the reality of it all sets in AND NOW THE JOYFUL MOMENTS I remember the excitement Over the first fish that I caught And the first time I rode with the training wheels off The elation of my first homerun First car, first date My very first dance The day I learned to appreciate Sunrise and sunset How their beauty filled me With wonder and awe I cried tears of joy when I saw my son born I let go with the shout when he took his first steps When he spoke his first word I cannot express Just how much my heart leapt All of these things in my heart I have kept Until I shared them today with you my soup friends Thank you for your encouragement And kind words.
