Captivating Cake
Once there was a wedding in town With gorgeous flowers set around, But no one noticed them abound They were too busy trying to admire A beautiful cake designed as a shire Made with flour and eggs, all cooked in a fire No one noticed the groom or bride They only saw the baker’s pride And longed to know the taste inside. As their mouths watered, the vows were made Their desire had still yet to fade Once again their eyes were laid On the cake of majesty and love Crafted depicting a flying dove Everyone in the line would shove To get the scrumptious treat Once it was theirs they would eat Not caring about troubles they would meet. Once there was a wedding fair But no one cared or would dare Risk missing the many delicious layers.
