On the Front Line
"Free people are brothers" I heard a man say, today as he rolled away in a wheelchair, nonetheless, he was a veteran from Vietnam, long grey hair, such a mess- He said “free people are brothers”, I said “oh my word! the truth prevails.” They all thought he’d fallen off the rails, but I sure knew the truth of an another… Another brother from the war, one man who fought and knew what for- Another brother from our country, he was a brother just like me. Freedom exists with gratitude, no matter the longitude or latitude- When we all gather in unity, companionship you shall see- For because of us brothers we are free, only with a positive attitude, are we all under the same decree. I heard a man say, today as he rolled away, in a wheelchair, he was stuck, on the front line, found no luck- To the world honor and courage, he taught, while for his country he diligently fought- “Brothers united can be set free, when you stand collective in harmony, freedom comes with a price of strength, for it’s a brother just like me who fought intense.” In a wheelchair, nonetheless, with no more arms or any legs, “free people are brothers”, he said, let’s all remember the fallen dead.
