A Book of Pictures
Kathryn, I was watching an antique show on TV. A woman was showing a book of pictures she had found in her mother's basement of house she had died in. It contained Lincoln and Vice President with complete cabinet. Seward of Seward's Folly was one of them. The person running the asked what were the first words that came out of her mouth. Good gracious. I thought of completely flabbergasted myself. Here is poem I wrote. A Book of Pictures For a very long time his life had lasted, And we found ourselves flabbergasted While having been on Lincoln's cabinet Was totally amazed and must admit. History always will seem to have a way Of making memories that remain and stay Permanently imbedded in your weary mind Put book in museum and please be so kind. Create poem about how history was made Maybe like big event which was a parade And I have heard that someone insisted. You form a group called, "Poetry Revisited." Katherine, I wrote this especially for you. Jim Horn
