The darkness brings something familiar, yet sadly a sense of betrayal by the love that I now lack. An aching from within begins to grow , creeping up slowly until reaching what's left of my heart. It stabs me over and over and over again, I'm bleeding inside, I'm dieing slowly, I'm falling apart. Anger tries to follow but is blocked by all the pain engulfing my soul. I scream inside for help, I scream at the darkness, I scream to be let go. For a moment, a small sliver in time, it retreats and once again I can breathe a deep rigid breath. But even my breathing comes with a distant pain and reminder of of what comes next...death.
