'the Mountain Poem'
THE MOUNTAIN' POEM It all started with 'A MOUNTAIN ' climb, That Glorious Legacy of Life sublime. My friends' and I after a hike, Sat down perspiring on a spot we like. We looked around enjoying nature's beauty, When our eyes rested on this picture pretty. Behold! There stood this 'A MOUNTAIN', Tall and Majestic beside a fountain. Brown as chocolate and green as pea, Standing with Grace, Might a rare combination I see, Nor that or the blotches obscured by the fog, Caught our attention to the massive clod. But the Zenith, the hidden peak, you know, Enclosed by clouds and covered with snow, Awed us so much that by Jove, We vowed, To climb the Mountain to the peak or be bowed. The joy with which we climbed, Did not remain throughout the time. Narrow, Rugged and Steep it was, We weren't prepared and soon were lost. Through the Ripping Wind, I yelled to my friends But no answer came. Perplexed, I turned and saw an Eagle's nest untampered in the Rocky lane. Encouraged and with much difficulty, I reached the Top , Amidst the odds, Unfathomed by mortals but the gods. NOW, The CLOUDS within my reach and Whole World below, all cried in Unison," YOU DID IT !!!!!!!" Have a GREAT DAY :)Enjoy! -Kirupa T
