The Question At Hand
I look to my left and look to my right There I see that no one else is in sight No one but myself to invite So with whom do I fight I look deeply And what do I see The eyes of someone Whose heart is all wrapped up in a fight that just begun I listen deeply in fear And what do I hear Someone screaming In hopes of being freed There's a body in pain From all the irks and jerks of a body being used in vain My eyes squint in hopes to find something Of why this is happening to this somebody As my courage builds My search becomes more and more unfilled I hate the fact that I cannot find What is holding me back and making me blind The body's being pushed and pulled with a very powerful force It feels everything but a bit of remorse The expression seems to be confused But it speaks aloud from the harsh abuse Its soul need help from me To reach down and bring it to liberty It cries and cries But can't get freed no matter how hard the tries All of a sudden It was silent again My eyes open wide As the body and spirit once again collide The body came back to reality But this time, it felt differently I look to my left and look to my right There I see that no one else is in sight No one but myself to invite So with whom do I fight If in this room is no one else Why should one fight with oneself The question at hand refers to myself Am I at the constant battle of fighting myself?
