When will 'it' ever be enough? Just to stop the pain? I don't consider it selfish, And I wouldn't call it vain. To want to be acknowledged, Or at least more than to blend in. I never thought wanting to be wanted, Could feel like such a sin. I alone am never enough, So I'm always hearing 'no'. I wish deep down it didn't matter, That I could simply let 'it' go. I realize it's not that easy. Not for you, or them, or me. But I wonder if there's any way, To truly make you see... This isn't what I bargained for, Something less, but wanting more.
