Charlotte Henshaw
“Perfect practice makes perfect”, Is Charlotte’s motto in life, principa: She swims and plays piano, oboe, Loves musicals: Les Mis, Wicked. Born without fully developed legs, Both were amputated above knee, When she was eighteen months, But she was walking at two years. From Sterling Uni she’s degreed, In psychology and sports, a BA, She’s been to three Paralympics: Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio. In Beijing she settled for fourth, But in 2009 at the Euro Champs, She struck the breaststroke gold, To win in a time of 1:40.50 mins. Then in 2009, the British Champs, She hit the gold again in the 100m, Breaststroke, her favourite event, And at the Worlds in 2010, a PB. Which took her onto London 2012, Where she secured the fine silver, Coming second only to Ukraine, Loosing out only by 0.03 seconds. Then Canada and Montreal 2013, And Charlotte won a bronze medal, In class SB6 for the breaststroke, To continue her large medal haul. Onto Glasgow and the Worlds, 2015, and Charlotte won a silver, Then Funchal, it's Portuguese, And Charlotte took precious gold. At Rio grand she landed a bronze, In the 100m of the breaststroke, With a time of 1:37.79 minutes, Just behind Tiff Kane in 1:36.95.
