Irresponsible Or Simply Vincible
In total confusion, On the verge of forfeiting, Depending on self-persuasion, That there's hope in succeeding, Yet time has caught up with me, I'm on my sixth piping-hot cup, As I gurgle another sip of this blistering tea, In hopes the scalding pain will keep me up, I've forgotten how it feels to be free, Almost soothing aroma of mint-jasmine spice, Distracts me from focusing on the now stacked-up task, Not having listened to the given advice, Trapped in a cocoon-study-state with no-one to ask, Refraining from closing m'eye-lids all night, The morning alarm wakes me up in a fright, With the tick of the clock dawning anxiety, I clumsily stumble to my feet and face reality, Trying to link, random-lingering-information, with this dumb-found-zombie-like brain, I dread the inevitable confrontation, Oddly feeling comfort in the swaying of the train, I gawk at the strangers hustling in, all prepared for the day ahead, Becoming aware of my pungent morning breath, I wish I'd simply stayed in bed.
