Autumn Fire
Rustling blades of ruby sprinkle on my front lawn, the gazebo is flooded with gold and chartreuse leaves- I sit at my bay window and in complete awe I fawn, there is so much beauty in Mother Nature, it’s hard to believe. All year I await the end of the dreaded heated sun. I know the days are numbered in such few hours- Autumn has arrived and new life has begun, as I say goodbye to the hues laid upon my beautiful flowers. Rustling blades of scarlet drizzle by my back door, I walk barefoot and feel the crunch of a new season- The Lord has so much Autumnal beauty in store, and the smell of embers of fiery leaflets are the reason. All year I await the beginning of a fresh start, too soon winter will come and tear away the sanguine- But I do know one thing in the depths of my heart, the allurement of these tangerine shades are the best I’ve seen. Rustling blades of crimson shower over my daughter’s head, I rake piles upon piles of deep vermillion and maroon blades- As the innocence is portrayed, each leaf has been fed, moments of enjoyment from which I’d never trade. Why do the leaves carry such hues of fiery pigment? Why is there always a comfortable scent in the breeze? All these shades the Lord made bathe in ravishment, as these rustling blades of ruby fall down from my trees. Autumn Fire Mystic Rose October 20, 2016
