The Past
The day goes swell, Life goes on, This might be, My last night, Asleep on the couch, Hearing a sound at the door, You look out the window, As someone charges it once more, Fires, Alarms going off, Collissions everywhere, Suddenly everything just stops, Running to hide, Never coming out, Hearing noises, Coming up the stairs, And down the hall, Being quiet as can be, Alone and afraid, Someone walks in, With a smile on their face, They hear your fear, As you seem they don't, Grabbing your ankle, Pulling you out, Flipping you over, Bloodied face, Rotten skin, This is where it all begins, Kicking screaming, No one to help, A flash back of your life, Is what you felt, Getting free, Running to the door, Hes right behind you, Right before you grab the door, He grabs your hair, Off balance you are, Slamming yourself against him, As you both hit the wall, Going to the kitchen, A carving knife close by, He charges towards you, Stabbing him over and over again till cops arrive, After you make a call, Wondering who this man is, Telling the police, You've not seen him at all, Knowing it's a lie, But your past is true, He will never hurt me again, For he is six feet under my shoes....
