It Was In Winter-2
Thousand winds had blown away Carrying melodies that soothe the heart Sending ablaze the drooned shrubs Giving the saplings a new start And winter again came calling It was in winter that I found her Jaunty silhouette towering above the stares Wavy hairs caressing her shoulders With her head resting on the hunk’s chest I had lost her to the stocks My head was heavy and spinning round I couldn’t even tell a thing I was in a world astronomers only new Into tales that ales never thought of I was crumbled to the veins I dragged my feet to my crib No one to give my feelings a kick For I had lost a jewel worth my life A citadel of hope and happiness In the morning there was a knock And I could feel the ripple rush beneath my skin I stumbled and there they were, holding hands I shivered and became numb She had come to say she had moved on I withered and my heart sunk For its glow had died out Her presence now caused fear and not comfort She left head high in the air I dropped mine and watched her go Tears dropped and she went forever
