My Lavender Rose
I watched as you walked down the hall, It was a special time—'twas the lover's favourite day. Though not mine yet—though it may be that all Though it might be if this plan goes the right way. Finally, you reach the designated place—just a locker, really. And you finally see it—Oh, Godspeed!—You've found what I'd planned! "Young maiden," out loud you read, "You are a most alluring mystery, And all the world I would give, if though just for a moment—I could hold your hand." "My love, you set my world ablaze, When I am with you, I am safe—I worry not for foes, In your eyes, I'm lost—like a white mouse in a maze How I long to hold you, my lovely lavender rose." "Stop hiding," you say—and damn heavens—you've figured out! Though I should've expected not less—for you truly are intelligent, And your voice—'tis without a trace of doubt! This is why I love you—this is one of the reasons for my enchantment. "So it this true? Do I, my love, do I enchant you?" Am I even hearing right—nay, that can't be, for how could it be so? "Well," you repeat, "Answer—is all this true? Do I enchant you as you enchant me—answer, yes or no?" "Yes, dear heart, you do enchant me, I'm enchanted by you more with each passing day, I love you so strongly—this I hope you see." I know that I'm blushing, so I turn away. A triumphant smirk crosses your beautiful face, And a kiss I receive! Oh, how fast it changes—the way the wind blows! I'm enchanted by you—your beauty, your grace, How I've loved you from first sight, my enchanting lavender rose.
