Glitches
Went to the pub for a Souvla Pitta and a pint or two Sat there chatting for a while with the usual crew. Came home to work on my poems and story, My monitor died of a fault I couldn't see. So I decided to leave the glitch for the next day, And a trip to shop, hope there's not much to pay. Replaced in a jiffy was that simple monitor glitch, I can carry on writing my stuff without a hitch. Got home about noon as the temperature soared, Into the forties it went, my oh my, was it hot. We needed to cool down so into the pool we got. Had a splash round for an hour, out of the sun, Even the dogs in their new pool had some fun. So now back inside with the fans at full blast, We're all happy and clean and cool at last. Time for a Turkey and Ham salad for tea, Cold lemonade for Fran and a cider for me. Troubles and glitches we don't need today, So we'll ignore them and they soon go away. © Dave Timperley 09 August 2016
