Up There Somewhere
Death had no words for me, but we quietly sat and stared each other in the eye. shameless, all i could think about, imagine...was the clouds, how much they inspire me. how they carry on in spite of. they can be full and voluptuous like a woman's curves or weepy and ridden with sorrow They compliment the celestial sphere during the day, sometimes appear during night. All this in my mind while death attempted to seduce me with her worry free plans the ones she offered up to me but the clouds, their significance in my life, how they grace the creamy blue travel over oceans, never fading or melting away, although transparent, clouds are powerful, attention demanding... As death's glare tempted me to take her hand, I simply thought, "Not until the clouds redeem me."
