Jesus
Jesus Contest Sponsor: Anthony Slausen Crying to herself she fell asleep… When she awoke she knew it to be true… He had been there. Holding her hand all night as she wept for the loss of her dear sister. My sister had died from a broken heart. She just couldn’t take the pain of abuse and loss anymore. She had battled mental illnesses beyond the control of medicine and good council. Although she had these struggles, there was no one like her to me in the entire world. I have always held beliefs that the Lord Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior. For no matter what I have been through, Jesus stayed my Light through everything. Even though my sister had taken her own life, my beliefs are held that she is in Heaven with the Lord. Some believe that she committed a sin and would not be allowed to enter the gates, but I know deep down she too, held a deep love for the Lord. She just couldn’t take any more pain. Yes, she was a sinner. But we are all sinners. Sinners enter Heaven, which is why I believe Him dying on the cross saved myself, and everyone from their sins. Some don’t understand my beliefs and that’s okay. Not everyone needs to feel the way I feel. Differences in the world are meant to be. I just personally hold my beliefs in my heart and am willing to pen them on paper as a way to express my gratitude to Jesus. “How did Jesus save you?”, some may ask. “Who is this Lord you speak of?” I will say without a shadow of a doubt I would not be here if not for my faith. I have been carried over the mountains and my thirst has been quenched from the water flowing from the valleys of righteousness. I am strong and fruitful with my thoughts and prayers. Jesus relieves my burdens daily through small miracles. Prayer saves my soul and through prayer my soul saves the people I love. I fall. and… I call. I live. and… He gives. Lightning strikes and thunder roars and through the storms a light brightens the clouds of grey. The light shines from above and one day, I too, shall be above. This Jesus I speak of reveals truths to me on a daily basis. Truths of reasons on why I am here. I am here to love. I am here to speak. I have seen the dove. I shall still repeat…. Crying to herself she fell asleep… When she awoke she knew it to be true… He had been there. Holding her hand all night as she wept for the loss of her dear sister. Date Written: May 25, 2016
