Familiar Face
Familiar face. Written by Kim Chin I saw, you walk by, and stop, I wanted to make a good impression so, you can take me home .I stared thru the spaces, thinking if only I could capture the heart of someone passing by.. Love is all I have to gave , my heart is full of love. I've been thru this before time and time again, I thought what can I do to make it different today, I went down on all paws praying that today will be different,as though my prayer was answered, I look up and saw the familiar face that captured my heart. You took me home, and for once in my life I was free, free to be me. You fed me well and gave me treats that I've never had before, I wanted so much to show my appreciation, that I waited patiently everyday for your return home, to hug you, to share all your emotions with you, to be you. Years went by , and our love grew deeper, I loved you more than I could of ever love myself. You were my everything, and hope you felt the same, but things changed, until some-one else took my place, I became a burden you said, and sent me away. Here I am in a cold dark metal box going away to my destiny. The last stop, , I could hear the screams of anguish and the cries of horror, of my fellow friends. being put away . This is my fate, Its almost here, I was led away , by the only material possession my leash and collar, in the chamber of my last breath I look up and saw my familiar face.
