The Rowboat and It's Anchor
There alone it sits as rippling waves sway As each one hits there sitting in the bay It has dreams this little old rickety vessel For oh! what all seems, within its own will But it's anchored the ocean being so vast Not being secured that boat wouldn't last Storms so rough full of powerful waves All that stuff comes of what one craves The others around are often on their way Saying all that they found as here I stay Looking at the horizon jolted by the wake Missing out on the fun oh for Pete's sake With a sudden gust that anchor untied For all he lust this little boat now tried Down the channel and soon far out to sea What he couldn't see is now he wasn't free Soon it was the night with nothing around Picturing a sight when he was safely bound As the waves grew and that boat was tossed As like you never knew this boat felt so lost When a Light came as I was about to sink He called me by name saving me in a blink Bringing me back Home, He anchored me tight So I wouldn't roam always being in His Sight Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
