Day 1 the Journey
As the narrow roads run into us The scorch in the city fades As the clouds begin to stage a fright; A choreography of serenity displays Wearing their darkest shades up high They usher in the drumming rains As bad as her drumming sounds to us The winds praise her act with a conquering cry Louder and louder, rains tickle the bus As the radio fades to allow them pry Soonest than sooner the attendant shouts The time has come to let go dry The time is now to alight. Travelling to a village called Atua in the Eastern region of Ghana for my district rotation. I've been told it’s a saddening experience living there by colleagues who've been there previously. A part of me yearns for an adventure; so in all the odds, I've decided to write in poetry. Poems about my days here to drag you along this experience. Will you dare come with me??
