Have Mercy
I woke up to the sound of a voice and it told me Death is coming here and I can't let the borders hold me I could climb aboard a ship and maybe I would die slowly But maybe I would have a chance to live I wish I had a choice but believe me I dont have that I was shipped in a box on a boat full of pack rats I swam to the shore and almost sank with my backpack I woke up in a place that wants me gone I'm a man from a land where the war is gunna hurt me I tried to live free but it's just not working I know you're terrified of me But I am starving and I'm thirsty I am knocking at your door Can u please have mercy? It is rampant on the news, a bias forms your attitudes My religion might be different but inside im just like you And terror is a feeling, not a thing that I would do It hurts to know so many want me gone It's like banging on a bolted door And I can hear your voices You are praying for the strength to keep on making christian choices I do not want to steal your jobs Or drive your rolls-royces I simply need a place to lay my head
