Fighting My Own War
... Fighting My Own War ..... Feeling like a solider waiting for the war to be won, Fighting dark emotions yes every single one , Don't expect me to be mild and meak, I'm proud with a stubbon streak , Having good days and bad , Some of the worse I've ever had , And even the good ones never last , But I just mend the cracks in my mask , For I don't care what the outside world sees, As long as I am always being true to me , Cause I am fighting battles inside my head , Sometimes with words that cannot be said , The darkness is never to far away , Like a tornado wrecking a peaceful day , Memories keep flooding back of the past , Trying to forget them is a endless task , Depression that whispers in your ear, Repeating slowly all your fears, Never knowing what's next in store, Like going around in a revolving door, Keep wearing me down all day long, Chipping away, I've got to stay strong , For as the sunrise hits the skies For a moment I,m free of these emotional ties ..... ######################
