Lessons
My story isn't over, for my journey has just begun. I can no longer sit in silence, so watch out this 'victims' done. My past won't shape my future, it's time to stand and hold up my head high. I'm so 'over' crawling quietly, I deserve to soar and fly. My past will never vanish, but it's given me the strength to stand. For courage isn't about perfection, it's about dealing with our given hand. My voice will no longer hide the truth, so please ask and I will tell. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, sometimes it takes a nightmare, to escape the hell. My purpose is becoming clearer, I have a chance to stand up tall and fight. For when you are frightened and cowering in the darkness, you must get up and walk towards the light. My future isn't promised to be easy, however without the struggles there can be no sense of peace. So when tomorrow I begin to waver, please remind me of these 'lessons', that will steady me beneath.
