Half Hearted
I know that you'll need me though you say that you don't. I know that you see me even when you say that you can't. You can't stop thinking about that time you forced your words out loud. You were so eager to take yourself away. Your mind took control of your heart. You listen to them but they don't know the real you. Happiness is here with me and deep down you want to stay. I know that you love me and I do love you too. You've been an inspiration in everything in my life. I will always love you, I'll always care for you. Remembering the times we had together when our love was young and wild. I thought that I had found a true love here with you. I thought that I had found someone who could walk with me on my path through life. Your smile, your laugh, your cries I remember these things too. I remember everything that made me fall in love with you. The joy we had together will remain in my memory. I'll remember the time you got the soup mixed up with the tea! I'll remember your warm soft hand, held tightly within mine. Your smiling face in the warm sunshine, the breeze flowing in your beautiful long hair. But although I love you and was prepared to give you all I am, your love for me was halfhearted because you only have half a heart. For Catie Lindsey contest Half A Heart
