Magic Is In Dragons Blood
Dragon was feeling persnickety one day, he wanted his Dragon magic back. The Elven King had bound it for 100 years, to protect those who magic lacked. Every young dragon needs to first learn… to live a good life filled with love. To follow the rules, to be a doer of good stuff, not mean, gruff, and rough. Well Dragon was tired of waiting, after all he’d just turned a whole three. And yep! That is the age of exploring, learning No! And, yes, Me! Me! Me! Now how, you ask, do you train a 12 foot Dragon, all this important stuff? It’s not always easy… Of this you must surely know! Of this I know enough! Dragon took off, on Dragon air, to find Diagon Alley of Harry Potter fame. He wanted a magic wand, to do fearsome magic, with all kinds of fancy names. He immediately saw a Dragon on top of Gringotts that spit fire directly, at him. He fell back and started to cry, how could another Dragon be so mean and grim? Suddenly, a beautiful mouse named Minnie came out and hugged our little guy. She brought him in to Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor to dry those weepy eyes. Then hearing his plight she gave him a fancy cone, then led him to Ollivander’s. Where, you guessed? Mickey, the sorcerers’ apprentice, brought him in, to gander. But all the wands went out of control, for Dragon magic, just doesn’t fit in. That is, except one, that Mickey found, with a pigeon feather trapped within. Unfortunately, with no teaching, wonky, became the name of this days game. Poor Mickey, while trying to help, was hung upside down, by Dragon’s bad aim. Unfortunately, Mickey wasn’t much better, being only an apprentice, as such. Ollivander was ready to stop them both, to save his shop, with a not gentle touch. When, in walked the great, Haggert, who hauled them off, thank you, very much. Dragon being Dragon, he got away, to find he robe maker, wanting one, to clutch. But as he passed the potion ingredients store, everyone wanted a piece of him. It seems, Dragon parts are powerful stuff, for making potions and spells so prim. And Dragon was about to be torn apart, for potions, and other, you know whats. Haggard would be to late, so Mickey levitated Dragon onto the top of Gringotts. There our young and crazy Dragon remained for the rest of the whole day. Not even Haggard could get him down, until everyone else had gone away. By then we had caught up with our errant child, or so you might say. And yes he’d learned his lesson, to not be a smarty pants, and to run away. Then Haggard gifted him his very own Owl, from Eeylops Owl Emporium. Yes, it was a Great News Day, as it became a great teaching forum! Written 12-6-2015… For my good friend Steve
