Chosen Are Your Chains
Just like self appointed slavery A bad actors attempt at bravery Soon to be savoring the flavor of fear and fright You claim you love the silence while I hear your screams and sighs You claim you love the darkness but I only see you in the safety of the day You claim that you're content but always looking for a change I watch you rusting in the ruins I watch you running in the rain You don't even have a clue...chosen are your chains You say your worth is in the billions still you're always broke and busted You always point your faulty fingers You talk about the ones you never trusted You stay disgusted but self doubt is your disease Another painted psychopath you try too hard to always please With a smile down on your knees when you should stand for your beliefs You pray for peace and joy and happiness while you grip a gun with ease You beg for bread on city corners when you live in a bakery Your rolls they never rise...too many holes inside your heart Too many bullets in your brain You don't even have a clue...chosen are your chains One day you may be looking and see something lurking in the shadows You might cut the cords that choke You might see through smoke and static You might have a habit and meet a monster in the mist Kill that creep and take the keys and be a king in your own kingdom You might hear Gods angels singing when the lightning strikes the lamp Now a lion once a lamb...now your boots are in the blood Mudmen now you mutilate Lunacy is liberation...you cast away those chosen chains
