Rearranging Needed
Thoughts of positivity after last nights love affair I saw a glimpse of the man I loved; floating through the air Emotional and loving, stating he’d be nothing without my love I’m lost inside those beautiful eyes staring down at me from above Tender gentle caresses as he pulls my body near Soft kisses surround me entirely and for once I feel no fear Here lies the man I once knew, so passionate and full of care Praying the essence of his being remains as he gently strokes my hair I have so much love for this man, yet he’s let me down so many times Giving my trust and respect again feels just like I’m committing a crime Trying to understand that all of us are subject to change throughout this life Holding on to lost memories no forward progression; still implementing this strife I’ve realized the time has come to put my past fully behind me at last To cherish every moment as it comes and never make assumptions about the past Maybe he was always the man he was; maybe it was I who had actually changed Optimism running through my body as I begin to proudly rearrange © Stacy Lynn Stiles
