Blood Moon of Heaven
Sunday evening 6:22 p.m. September 27, 2015 Night of the blood moon Kansas City, Mo Stephen Becker pen name Brian Stoaks "Blood Moon of Heaven" I feel dizzy, weak, and sore, like my body has given up on me too The feeling of walking is almost too much to bear like asking to be loved As the time draws near for our blood moon I wonder if she's watching alone to Am I the only person waiting to feel loved, to be held, to be kissed? They say this feeling of being lost will pass over time This feeling like I am loved by no one not even my own children How can I change this I shout when they refuse to give me a chance? I hope this moon is the end of my time where I can lay down in peace As my favorite song plays "One More Try" by George Michael I am reminded of the coldness that wraps around my heart The warmth that once consumed me was discarded so long ago I ask for one more try only to be fallen into empty waste baskets Tonight I will sit atop the roof looking into the night sky waiting for my star to shine My eyes looking for a sign that there is a better place then right here without love A place where hearts are never broken and love surrounds your every being Tonight I throw my heart, mind, and soul into the night sky to be consumed by the blood moon of heaven
