Timekeeper
History has a way of repeating itself, when will I learn? Words with a repeating sting, so cold and brutally stern It’s hard to advance my mind with such a painful history Why do I set myself up for so much grief, it’s a mystery A body of temptation, luscious curves and swaying hips Words that fool me from behind those bloodstained lips A crimson kiss that steals my soul, altering my very being They darken my tainted heart, what is it I am not seeing? Wise men say a man without fear is a man without hope Fear I don’t feel, but the pain proves to be too vast to cope Within your embrace, doubts overrun my troubled mind What am I to do, wait with a smile and be viciously kind? Stop your watch, timekeeper, my patience is awfully thin Forever I won’t wait, mainly when my faith isn’t fully in The masses favor this as another mistake within this life Rather I wish not to hear, it pierces my heart like a knife Your fear and uncertainty will continue to push me away Your words ask to trust you; that everything will be okay Creating a confusion within me, which you have a knack Push me if you must; just remember I may not come back
