Entry
Entry Now you don't need me, It hardly matters anymore, My feelings are dead, And expectations have fizzled. The first time When I realised you didn't need me Broke my hopeful heart. My blood kept on pouring Out of my heart and eyes profusely. Slowly your insults and humiliations Made me stronger Until it dawned upon me I didn't need you. In fact, I had really never needed you. You were attractive and desirous, You were romantic and dreamy, And somewhere in my heart I found a union with my dreamy nature, I, who always loved living in a world of romance. For a brief moment it was A marriage of two illusionary souls, And illusions do get shattered, Sooner or later. You found solace in modernism, And I stagnated in romance of a bygone era. We had to part! It is good you took the first step To pick up jewels which sparkle like solitaires. What good is a coal?-A poorer image of carbon- To burn itself out. Before you captured my soul, I was the same, Now also I am the same, Wonder if I have truly changed After your departure? Does anyone see a change In my looks, my thoughts, my attitude? No one will!! Because no one knew anything. My soul allowed you entry By happily opening my heart's front door, And you silently exited From my sole Without a squeak being heard Even by my shadow.
