Too Soon
I can't reach the microphone and broadcast Nor can i take a flute and sing about this disease of the past that has relieved and killed many and yet it clangs into me my heart like butter sticks to bread let me sit here just beside this heap of soil reminding me of how we did toil so hard that we made it here and so soon she bide me bye i don't want to cry o or else she will feel sad because she wont be there to wipe it dry just as she has always done i just want to wonder faraway into dreamland and sing about this feeling of loneliness i want to feel the warmth of this soil creep up my legs and surround my cold heart filling the void left by her absence even when it moves at the pace of a snail i am to wait till it plays its part am make me feel he presence i want to watch this earth disappear and turn green to green like the green Savannah grassland we yearned to visit today as our matrimonial anniversary holiday if darkness draws near lend me her kikoi to wear and if it gets too cold to this earth i will cling to feel her warmth to the last my dear i know it makes you sad to see me nag and snag here but i am not mad i just want you to know we departed our ways too soon yet our dream flew far beyond and here i am stuck
