Nearly There
When I was a child...I was sickly and small, they said I'd never walk...so I learned how to crawl. And a voice said...your nearly there. Years they went by and I walked with a limp, I was laughed at and teased, some called me a shrimp. I looked straight ahead, with you by my side, my tears tucked away in my heart deep inside. And a voice said...your nearly there. As I grew older, my arm's they drew in, they no longer functioned as well as they'd been. I saw people stare as I limped down the street, some started to laugh as I tripped over my feet. You held me secure...would not let me fall, your light that surrounds me, was witnessed by all. And a voice said...your nearly there. More years they went by...I could no longer function, it seems that my life had come to a junction. As my body gave out...I grew very weak, I laid there alone...feeling humble and meek. With my last breath, I made a wondrous connection, I could not believe as I saw my reflection. I was whole and complete...a child of perfection. You can imagine what I heard when I got to this section... And a voice said....welcome home! P.R. Deremer
