Backyard Beauty
Backyard Beauty What I started to see was much nudity So I am preparing backyard for beauty Planting flowers where I am the digger Caring for it have become central figure. Just fed weed killer to all of my grass Presume you think I am a pompous ass Instead of living in a state of remorse Rather have yard looking like a golf course. My lovely wife was making some sun tea For her little old self as well as me She took car and went on a short hop To buy us lunch from a sandwich shop. Currently at flower garden I am gazing Hoping from ground seeds will be raising But always find myself having a fear Of flowers being eaten by a friendly deer. (All my pansies.) Saw next door neighbor, his flowers water Preparing for arrival of each grand daughter According to what I hear that is latest scoop Kids put petals in water and make flower soup. That popular time of year is here again It is stopped being cold and won't stay in Have left for beach on my best behavior Hoping my flowers won't wilt or ever waiver. After being put through God's great test With beautiful backyard have been blessed I am tired and thought about going to bed But stayed up to see backyard instead.
