I don't know how crazy this is going to sound, Coming from a guy, But all of these years have passed, And I cannot let all of these feelings I have for you blow by, So truth is, I never really fell out of love with you, This may come as a bit of a surprise, And you are probably wondering why this came out of the blue, I was going through some messages the other day, I didn't realize were still there, And the things we said to each other (the way we felt), I didn't realize I still care, I am not sure if you feel the same way, As I do, Or if perhaps your favorite colors, Are still purple, pink, red, and blue, However I do feel strongly that, Everything we had and wished, It was all there, And left unfinished, Feelings like that, They do not just go away, So hear me out, Because I think about you day after day, These messages also made me realize, There is a reason our relationships have not been on cue, With other people (between then and now), Because maybe we had some maturing to do, Maybe we had to get hurt, Once or more, To make us realize, There is no sense in fighting a war, So truth is we have each other, I cannot say this enough, But trust me when i say, I still do believe that best friends fall in love.
