Gently caressing the leaves on the Elm tree, Flirting with the pine it’s a softness, a tender Lovers lullaby, I’ll be here in the calming lull Don’t worry after the thunder and lightening I shall return. Bracing against the rage to come, all the Wilderness takes shelters safety, the rain Clashes, the lightning flashes from the Heavens as the mountain divides cry. Drinking deeply the soil evergreen is Nourished, replenished by heavens tears Of life once more. In the night the clouds pass across the Moon, thin are the vails of mists that separate, As dense lace against the orbiting giant on high. Illuminations nightlight pierces the gloomy Stance of the storm, as it whispers goodnight To Mother Nature. All creatures return to their nocturnal mischief, And the whispering winds call I’ve returned as Promised and as the trees sway in response. At dawn’s renewal it drinks deeply the dew, The rays of colors splash against the horizons Canvas, oh what beauty is in a greater Creatures gentle brush stroke. It is the painters awesome miracle, This art masters magnificent living Portrait, in the silence before the storm. BY: CHERYL ANNA DUNN
