At Our Next Poetry Reading
At Our Next Poetry Reading Not sure if I know where or when What realm of reality we are in Time of day or for that matter year That to us it will start to appear. We liked and learned so much from it How to write poems, humor and wit Much honor, humility and humbleness And hoping loveliness I did not miss. My mind and body all of it did digest Then in poem was put to complete test Determining what subject we should use Needing need pleasant of perfect excuse. After thinking about it every which way We came up with perfect poem of the day Wondering what should be the title That always to a poem is very vital. Let it be, "God thank You for them all," No matter how big, simple or small Each is to be cunning, cute and clever. Final one written will be best ever. What I did was take them to heaven with me So that God and I together could see Spiritual food will be poems we are feeding In heaven at our next poetry reading. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran
