Shadows
Lovers touch, a warm embrace, all shadows in the night. They surrender to the moment, and forbidden love not right. Caught in the toils of passion, together side by side. The moonbeams break the darkness as they take their midnight ride. Untold eyes are watching as the stars dance in the sky. The light comes through the shadows to reveal the lovers lie. He sees them from the distance, malice fills his heart. He watches the two lovers and his whole world falls apart. He loses sense of reason consumed by fits of rage. The Devil takes control now, as emotion sets the stage. There is no chance for mercy, their actions seal their fate. The fervor of this moment is more than he can take. No time for hesitation, as he stalks his prey. No time for excuses, there's nothing left to say. He rises from the shadows, his dreadful deed unfolds. His eyes much like the knife he bears, are hard, and sharp, and cold. In their final moment a storm comes rolling in. Then as they take their final breath it rolls back out again. Standing in the shadows, lost and all alone, There is no going back now, there is no going home. He goes over to the woman and lays down by her side, He impales himself upon the blade and kisses her good bye.
