She
She sits all alone In her classes and at break, A lonely trip To the library she'll take. No-one speaks to her, No-one cares, Everyone simply Wispers and stares. Just because she's different, And not the same, Doesn't justify Calling her lame. She's new and vulnerable, With not even a friend, Every day she wakes up And prays it will end. Her parents are strict And won't leave her alone, Sometimes school is Just as bad as at home. They shout and yell Till her head starts to pound, While she remains frozen Not making a sound. When she sits in her room Looking up at the sky, She lets everything out And starts to cry. With no-one to love her, No-one that cares, She slowly starts To descend the stairs. The tears stream down, Her face a smudgy red, She has no intention Of going to bed. She slips out of the house So that no-one would learn, That she had gone out into the night And would never return.
