The Enemy
They say blacks have a thing called fast twitch muscles that enables them to run faster or dodge a modern day bullet. It’s unfortunate for Michael Brown, He wasn’t able to outrun it when his enemy pulled it. You see, It’s commonplace in the Unites States to shoot blacks and call it an accidental mistake, With the whole world glued to their tube not sure what really ensued, A long deep inhale while scratching one’s head confused. Anger’s about to reach its boiling point Screams can be heard from across the globe But the heart already knew, The heart already knows how it goes when you’re up on your toes Hoping, Just hoping the resentment doesn’t grow. The face of the enemy locks itself into the eyes, ears, and psyche of the world’s inhabitants Once again to say they’ll objectively investigate and combat this thing, The truth is after all that has happened It’s as if they only invest in hate; proportionately leaving questions across the evening plates It should be our creator, and not you who should be deciding an individual’s fate The last time I checked, Our taxes pay for you to serve and protect. But many times paths are crossed, You’re too inept to express yourself which time and time again leads to an unwarranted arrest or something much bigger like a death which makes it a national event. There is a God and you’re not him, Your excuses are growing really thin, But I must admit, it still allows your sect to win. If you’re not willing to get in on education Then forget about trying to state your case, All their verbal diarrhea is falling on deaf ears Even the blind’s lack of vision conjures up tears, The sum of this equation equals to Blacks still riding in the rear Whether in the United S of A or the playground right here, Black men are endangered and sadly living in despair.
