The Fly On the Porch
I met this man once he told me life aint easy See Life is easy because you can easily die You can pretend you’re living free But in reality, you’re dying inside You got to have faith who do you believe in the Mayans or God A father precious prize starts messing with guys now he’s crying inside The devil will break you down to a pesticide But god will make you feel like a GIANT And I can’t leave the weed alone or cheap cologne To cover up the shit I’m on But let’s get personal it hurts to know That we fall in DC traps, and like a movie with blacks we the first to go But god is merciful or maybe I’m exaggerating But this girl I’m dating makes me feel like a slave When he first glazed at the emancipation proclamation Enough of the black talk cops are hating, they put our faces in the asphalt I can still taste the pavement. They say “nigga move to Africa” ok when? But I need a least 9 million brave women and men, just to rebuild and fill what was taken from our home of the pyramid Learn, read, and speak up! Because what they know is not what they teach us I DON’T CARE I’m risking it all.. AMERIKKKA want miss us at all We just got 1 black in office, we just strong as john coffee, we just the run the green mile , and you hear about us in sports very often. Without seeing my coffin, I’m just trying to escape the pain And break the chains…Give me your hand and I’ll give you mines. Promise if you remain honest you’ll never be left behind.
