Regina discovered, in 2009, that she is bipolar And that when over just fine She realized – after so many years of dealing with the highs and lows, There was a reason for her madness A reason that wasn’t even her own fault And, to her great relief, there were magic pills, That would keep her tears at bay, Her insomnia away and her feelings much more safe. Regina also learned, from trial and error, That she enjoys learning and she went back to college There she is today, taking the classes she loves… Writing code to change how a web page performs And now she looks forward to graduation day next May Then finding that new job where her skills can be put to use And where her employer will appreciate her muse. Regina is, to me, a very resourceful woman One who has gone through her share of pain Healed and learned to believe in herself And above all else, to put God where he belongs, As the very first One to know the depths of her heart As the One who she loves beyond anything mere words could reveal And the only One to guide her steps as she walks From moment to moment in this beautiful place called God’s world!!! ©2014 by Regina Riddle For: SKAT A’s KEEP IT REAL POETRY CONTEST
