Crosslight
I was at a indecision. Caught at the cross light, hit with a vision. An old lover smiling back. Holding up a picture of us from way back. Her voice again I finally heard. Speechless I stood there finally cured. She had showed me all of life's vices, and said "You'll always have me." She brought the quality of my life to the top from the bottom. Then the vision fell from my mind like leaves in Autumn. I was in my car caught at a cross light. My vision had handed me my closure. As time went on, so did life. As time goes on, to remember the good times I had to think twice. Now I'm tired of looking back, I got my eye's set on the sky. Time for hi's , tired of goodbyes, I got a new fire burning inside, a new glare in my eye. Nobody can see it but I can feel it. You can't see oxygen but you can breath so believe it. Negativity, leave it. The road ahead is clear, but sometimes I end up sleeping in. I know I'm wrong God but where do I begin. Step in my shoes and you'll feel my sins. And if I don't step up, I know life will bring out my worst. See, women may be awesome but I only remember my first. I only remember my first.
