Liberated Part 1 of 2 Liberated after years of incarceration, body and mind vacation, somewhere tropical, just shy of the equator, feel unstoppable as pen and paper, intimately dance, a tickertape parade on hot sands, raining lyrics from my life, a celebration as I flick through my vinyl, hands aloft, a beer and a reefa, like I'd scored in the champion's league final, was holding the trophy, spilt suds soak me, immediately evaporate from my skin in the heat, body obediently following the beat, or is about to be, 'we are the champions, we are the champions, we are the champions,' mentality, feeling as high as that last note, about to unleash the dancer, the poet, move outside, lured by the beautiful weather, feet feel light like that Forest Gump feather, perfect backdrop: our English scenery, nature acting in this scene with me, dramatic in approach, a convincing, fluid performance, beautiful voice but muted by my cordless, headphones, they allow me to find my own meaning, words from poems, replacing the chaffinch chirp, the rook's rasp, the creak of timber in the wind's clasp, slow intro beats replace the drip of a snow-cap melting, high tempo beats, the rain pelting, lightening, thunder, a pirate on the plunder, cutlass slicing during the sullen tones, then bang, musket shots, skull n crossed bones, activated by a starting pistol, feel it ear to ear, Caribbean waters, crystal clear, as I dive in, look skyward, watch my breath bubbles rising, magical as the light filters through the surface to meet them, follow them back, pick up the beat again, fully inhaling, feel like I've found that holy grail thing, as I take another drink, moving back the years, as shoulders slink,......
