When I look into you, sometimes I'm not sure just who I see sometimes there seems to be a stranger staring back at me a stranger wearing eyes much more sunken and black a man who stands slumped from all the weight on his back He seems frightened and scattered with grooves in his forehead with a malnourished look of little food and no bed the life in his eyes, slowly lost long ago from too many heartbreaks in too many rows Although he looks worn from being beat down his face always wears a smile, you won't see this man frown because he's learned his life lessons and wears each on his face and although constantly reminded he wears each scar with grace This man I've judged so long, thinking nothing of his will so I pushed him to the brink with the weed, the drink, the pill brought him to his knees but he stands in front of me still separating dreams and memories from what is here and real So now I do not judge this man, this stranger reflected in the glass because I know he does the best he can to keep us both up off our ass
