The Way We Parted
Each time we part, I see your eyes Frozen in a silent glance If traces I were to be blessed I would adore how well we mingle The moon seems frozen in her guilt The world dark in her awaking Faded all are parts of joy, When winds blow shrill in their voices The pain of passion is dejection Of being together is a fear to part And give me not the sick some gaze They dull my nights to sleep forecast. Hello! The earth echoes my ears The pain in same amount or more And I have read in no men’s prose A line of bliss apart from tears For on and on I loved to live But where is life a part of joy? When things of mine exchange with yours And fairly does all fade away So shall we both, you and me Exchange our soul and disappear Apart, alone and both away You from me and I from you.
