I stayed where I was, where we always meet. You usually got there first, but this time you were beat. I expected to see you a minute or so after I arrived. I expected to see you pull up, you always drove. I was going to tell you how I finally felt. I hoped what I told you would make your heart melt. You said you "loved me" so many times, that on this certain day the words were chimes. I fell for you hard, I fell for you good. I really needed you to show up like you really should. I was ready to give you all I had. I was ready to change because I wanted you so bad. I had everything all planned out. I was so happy, I could nearly shout. I waited all day and clear into the night. I stayed where I was without even a light. I waited because I that's what I thought I should do. I wanted even though I felt it might not be true. I waited because that's how much I truly loved you. I'm waiting around, I'm waiting for you. Please come now and tell me it's true. Do it fast and make the pain stop. My heart feels so heavy I fear it will drop. Rescue me like you always do. Take me to a different place. One where no memories last, where the soul feels no pain. One where I can fix the scattered pieces of my broken heart. I'm waiting around, still waiting for you. *2010, my 8th grade year*
