Holding On To the Family
The days were so nice, When we were together, Loving each each other to other to the fullest, Of our hearts, Then for one reason or another, We have grown apart, Leaving my heart empty, As ou were searching for love, In all the wrong places, Which is keeping us apart. Maybe one day you will see, How true my love was to you, And how I stood by you, When no one else would have, Cause I gave up so much of my life, To help you through what you, As you wanted me to do, Which has cost both of us, More than we needed to loose, Which is part of our lives, For I have lost both of you. I still hold you both, Close to my heart, Cause I love you dearly, And if you would have allowed me, To do what was necessary, As a man and a father, Everyone would be together as a family, As we were meant to be, From the start.
