We've seen some summers Ones with luscious life, laughter, and love While others were frost bitten filled with disaster Smitten by the hands of the unjust the corrupt Plots twisting, but in the voice of Yoda, "come to an end it must." It must come to an end before we're all turned to dust. Turned back to the ashes from whence we came Before we were born into sin before they spoke our names and told us what to be, who to watch, and how to see the world through their eyes, but their eyes don't see the *****I see. Their heart's beat to nothing and I've got my own melody. When I was 21 I bought a bottle of that Hennessey. Irrelevant to you, but that was a really big deal to me. In the sense that while drinking friends lost some sense and it made for a good time but I've had none since. It got the best of me. But that was a divergent thought submerged within my mind the confines of which have me currently feeling left behind with a generation in which I don't fit because you see I see that they don't see the mental appreciation of the artistic me. It's hard for them to understand how this is what drives me to the cliff and dares me to jump. Jump into its vast vicinity and become engulfed in poetry. Lately it's been personal, works written with the intention of just being for my eyes to see when I feel like reminiscing. But this one's for the public. A reminder to you all that I do because I love it. A reminder to you all that I am poetry's subject and still place nothing above it.
